Weekend of video @ home show

This past weekend FindItGreyBruce.com was on site at the 2009 Home & Cottage Expo in Owen Sound.

Everything you need for your home or vacation property is showcased at this annual event, always a sell-out.

See contractors, interior designers, architects, home improvement specialists, outdoor recreation and consumer electronics suppliers, and much more all under one roof, and spilling out into a vast display area outside the main entrance. Over 140 exhibits in all.

The show was a great opportunity to meet with a number of area business and to capture some footage with teh new HD mini camera. At first look the footage looks great. We will be posting some samples here shortly as well as running video at theOwen.com.

While having the opportunity to play with the new video camera was a highlight, the opportunity to talk with a variety of area business owners was no doubt the greatest benefit of the weekend. It was a great opportunity to get a real sense of 1) where the economy is at 2) how that is playing out for local business 3) and what sort of actions are proving to effective for business growth and promotion currently. It was also a good time to refresh or introduce a number of businesses with the variety of service offerings at the FindItGreyBruce.com business center.

On the sharing note, it is something we are going to do are best to do more of. For the past 4 months or so we have been firing off new features and additional services offering via the business centre. In fact, we have been so focused on the get it out there… we have been lacking in the explainations of why we made a certain decision or how/why we think it might be beneficial to your business.
